Thermal Direct Paper Labels (require no Ribbon to print)

Typical life of 6 - 12 months regardless of being printed or not and depending on environmental conditions (heat, sunlight, humidity etc).

Recommended to be stored in a box and in an air conditioned or similar environment and away from sunlight.

Normally selected for applications that require labels to have a relatively short life span e.g. shipping labels.

Thermal Transfer Paper Labels (require Ribbon to print)

Typical shelf life of 12 months before the adhesive starts to deteriorate.

Printed paper labels have a typical life of 1 - 3 years depending on environmental conditions (heat, sunlight, humidity etc).

Recommended to be stored in a box and in an air conditioned or similar environment and away from sunlight.

Print quality is more distinct and sharp as compared to Thermal Direct Paper Labels.
